Meet Carl & Cathy Ong

Carl Ong is the founder and driving force behind the Agent Ong Open. A lifelong competitive bowler, entrepreneur, and community builder, Carl created this event with a singular purpose: to build a tournament for the bowlers, by the bowlers. As a competitor himself, he understands what truly matters such as challenging lane conditions, transparent formats, meaningful prize funds, and an atmosphere where amateurs and professionals can compete side by side on equal ground.

Alongside him is his wife, Cathy Ong, whose leadership behind the scenes has been instrumental in shaping the event's identity. While not a bowler, Cathy's focus on hospitality, organization, and the overall bowler experience has helped elevate the Agent Ong Open into something far more than a tournament. Together, Carl and Cathy bring balance, competition and community, precision and warmth ensuring every participant feels welcomed, respected, and valued.

The Agent Ong Open

The Agent Ong Open

Founded in 2023, the Agent Ong Open has quickly grown from a regional concept into one of the most respected independent tournaments in the nation. What began in Arizona has now evolved into a destination event, culminating in Agent Ong Open IV - All In, taking place October 15th-18th, 2026 at the South Point Bowling Plaza in Las Vegas.

The move to South Point Bowling Plaza represents a major milestone in the tournament's journey. Widely regarded as one of the premier bowling facilities in the United States, South Point offers a world-class competitive environment purpose built for elite events. This transition reflects the growth of the Agent Ong Open and its readiness to operate on a national stage providing bowlers with the conditions, scale, and atmosphere their performances deserve.

As the flagship finale of the Southwest Swing, the event features a $10,000 guaranteed first-place prize, multiple high-paying sweepers, brackets, an action match, the ever-growing RvR Progressive Pot and much, much more. The field consistently attracts elite professionals, accomplished amateurs, and international competitors drawn by a format that rewards performance while honoring the integrity of the game.

This partnership represents a significant shift in how the Agent Ong Open is marketed, consumed, and experienced worldwide.

  • Global livestream distribution to over 105,000+ subscribers
  • Significant cumulative viewership beyond a single broadcast window
  • Elevated partner exposure through live and replayed content

This collaboration ensures the Agent Ong Open is no longer just an event, it is a global showcase.

People and Partnerships

Our Team & Partners

The Agent Ong Open is built on trust, relationships, and shared values. Carl works closely with tournament director Theo Douthit of Complete Bowling Events, a dedicated volunteer team, and industry partners who believe in growing the sport the right way.

Agent Ong Open IV - All In proudly welcomes Hammer as the Official Ball Company of the event, marking another major milestone in the tournament's growth. Combined with Inside Bowling's media presence and a growing roster of aligned partners, the Agent Ong Open continues to raise the standard for independently operated bowling events.

Purpose

Our Why

At its core, the Agent Ong Open exists to give bowlers something better.

Born from Carl's competitive passion and Cathy's commitment to community, the event was never about shortcuts or hype. It was about creating something authentic giving an environment where effort is rewarded, excellence is respected, and every bowler feels they belong on the lanes.

Agent Ong Open IV - All In represents the boldest expression of that vision yet.

This is for the bowlers.
This is for the sport.
And this is only the beginning.
